Florida’s Treasure Coast, encompassing Martin and St Lucie Counties, is considered by many to be the fisherman’s Shangri-La. Near its southern end, the Indian River lagoon melts under South Florida’s subtropical heat, where an exchange of blue ocean currents converges into a twenty-mile stretch of prime angling habitat.
Equipped with a custom 22’ center console bay boat, twin Raptors, trolling motor, and the latest electronics, your guide provides all the tackle, bait, lures, and licenses you will need for your fishing adventure.
Your adventure begins with host Captain Ed Zyak. A licensed full-time captain and saltwater fishing guide for over twenty years, you may recognize him from the hundreds of television, commercial and magazine appearances he’s been featured in. Captain Ed’s special attention to detail and exceptional patience with novice anglers allow for a great day on the water in a relaxed no-pressure atmosphere.
One of the most exciting inshore destinations in the state, the clear shallow flats between the town of Jensen Beach and the St. Lucie Inlet are home to a myriad of species including Tarpon, giant Snook, Redfish, Seatrout, Flounder, Pompano, and even Bull Sharks.
Giant Snook in excess of 40 inches is common along the bridges and seawalls within this area and hundreds of anglers looking to land their personal best have done so when fishing with Captain Ed. From large migratory giants to the smaller schools of backcountry juveniles, Tarpon is one of the most exciting fish to target especially during the summer months when the Silver Kings are in abundance throughout the Jensen Beach/Stuart area.
Nearshore trips are just as exciting as the shallows while chasing multiple species like Grouper, Snapper, Cobia, Kingfish, and Giant Jack Crevalle that roam the sun-drenched surf.
