I recommend calling Captain Mike Nielsen. Was recommended to me by the guy at the shop where we bought our licenses. He did not disappoint. Caught our limit, saw incredible views and learned a good bit about the area. Gorgeous day and amazing experience!

Captain Mike knows the lake, knows the fish and has incredible equipment. We limited, learned a ton about the area and enjoyed some of the best views we've seen all week. Would definitely recommend this for a fishing adventure on the water. We'll be back, Mike!

Nijal is a fantastic captain. My new bride and 2 boys and I had a great time fishing on Lake Tahoe. We all caught fish and they were delicious. Nijal was constantly working on the rigs making sure everything was good. In 3 years when we come back we’re definitely rebooking with him. I highly recommend his charter.

I highly recommend booking Double Down Guide Service! Great boat, great guide, and some fun times. We were catching so many fish, we couldn't keep all of the poles in the water. We did a half day trip from 1030-1530 from South Lake Tahoe. The whole experience was great. Nijal was an excellent boat captain! He was very knowledgeable and experienced. He kept us safe and put us right where the fish were. We just kept reeling them in. Just as important to us he was fantastic with the kids (son 10 & daughter 6). My son had a blast. This was a 10/10 experience in my opinion and would definitely do it again if the chance arises.

Captain Nijal is awesome, knows the fishing and how to make it a great experience . Our boys 6 and 12 wanted to go fishing forever, so we booked this trip and it was worth every minute. Caught so much fish that we ended up sharing half. Nijal is very experienced and best part- made kids feel like a pro fishermen. Definitely recommend to anyone, go Nijal!

Was great trip. He done everything thing we asked him to do. Fish weren’t biting well but wasn’t for the lack of him trying to get us on them. That’s why it’s called fishing not catching. Would recommend Nijal as a guide he really worked hard for us.

Captain Nijel did an amazing job out on the lake. Not only did he land numerous fish for my friends and me but had great recommendations about what to do around the lake while we were in town. He even referred me to a local restaurant who prepared the fish for us for dinner!! I have been out with Nijal numerous times in South Lake, but this trip he made the trek all the way to Carnelian Bay and we slayed it! It was well worth it, spent a few hours catching big Mack’s and enjoying the sun out on the lake, couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend a Monday. 10/10 I would recommend hopping on a guided trip with Captain Nijal, he will put you on fish and a great adventure is always guaranteed!
