Captain Tony did a great job getting us on fish. His experience was super valuable when a reel handle failed mid fight on a beautiful striped marlin. He was able to join the line to another rod at the ready and we kept the fish pinned. Thanks for a perfect morning in Cabo.

Capt Pedro was great, the day was fun and we caught fish. Understand that their are upcharges for licensing and bait. The tackle and boat are well used but we had a great day.

Pros: communication for booking was good.
Fishing for the first two hours was good.
The fishing guide was very friendly.
Caught a good Spanish mackerel and a little jack.

Cons:
Only fish 6 of the 8 hours I paid for.

For $30 of bait i think I had a total 8 bait fish in total.
My only goal was to catch a rooster fish, but the guide only fished the coast for them for a hour of the 8 hr fishing trip.
There was unexplained expenses through the booking agent at the dock. Extra $20 for ??
By 11am 4hrs into the trip the guide asked me if I wanted to go in, cause the sailfish weren’t bitting. Asked to go rooster fish fishing again he said no it’s a morning fish. Then at hour 5 he asked what I wanted to do I asked to go rooster fishing, this time we didn’t have enough gas to go.

We caught 6 skipjack tuna during our 3 hour trip… seas got a bit rough so we headed in. Saw the dorsal fin and chased down a marlin but it wasn’t biting.
All in all it was a successful trip on a day the other boats were reporting no catches at all.
Would have been nice to have Hook and Cook recommendations as our resort wouldn’t do that for us. That would have made 5 stars all around!
