Capt. Rafe was awesome and knows these waters like the back of his hand. He got us in the best spots and we caught a good amount of Tarpon on a day when other boats did not. Capt. Rafe was very helpful with fishing tips and made great conversation. If catching tarpon is on you bucket list and you want to see all the great bays in San Juan, go with Capt. Rafe!

Although the fishing wasn’t perfect, we were still able to land a few tarpon! Capt. Vega tried hard all day to get us on the fish. We were even given extra time for the not so lucky one! He was very knowledgeable about the fishing, but also about Puerto Rico in general. He provided drinks, and his boat was clean. Super happy with the day.

This was my youngest son’s first fishing experience, he is 10 years old.  The captain was AWESOME!  Made the trip and experience memorable for all of us.  We caught 5 huge fish, put smiles on both of my boys faces.  Highly recommend and this will be who we go through everytime we come back to visit.

My 2 daughters and I spent the last 3 days catching tarpon with Captain Rafael Vega. We landed 20 tarpon and a snook. Many many more got hooked but were not brought in. Rafael’s knowledge and ability are second to none. He went above and beyond consistently to make sure we were in fish.  Simply put he’s the BEST. We had a great trip!  We can’t wait to fish with him again!  I don’t hesitate to give him the highest possible review.

The captain was extremely on time, helpful, knowledgeable, and funny. He helped my wife and I bait, pull in, and catch tarpon. He even took pictures of us with the fish after he’d help us get them in the boat. Would recommend to anyone!
