Fall cobia fishing

Cobia have been immigrating back through the Destin area. For the last few weeks we have been hooking up with a few larger sizes. Cobia is known for being one of the best eat fishing in salt water.

Red snapper season is booking quick

Looks like we are going to have another awesome red snapper season in the Destin area. The season is from the 2 week of June the the end of July. Season time frame is subject to changes by the state of Florida. Bookings are going quickly. Definitely don't wait too long to book before all of the dates are gone. February, one of the best months for act

February tends to be considered our slow month. Many species are out of season, weather can be hit and miss, and taking alot of meat home is tough. But the action is incredible. The lack of fishing pressure has bigger fish ready to give you a great battle. If you are looking for great action, tons of awesome pictures, and cooler weather, this is the time of year for you.

Cobia fishing ready to explode.

The gulf currents are warming up. The Cobia fishing is starting to be very productive. Artificial eels, certain skirted jigs, and different lives baits work well. Sight fishing is the best technique, troll near shore in 2 to 10 ft clear water and cast infont of the cobia and prepare for a very strong fighting fish.

Our day started catching bait. Then we moved to a spot for Amberjack and it became BATTLE ROYALE. We landed two on the boat and a third was eaten up to the head. The fight was nothing less than A-MAA-ZING!!! Thanks for an amazing review. We definitely had a very action packed day. We battled the sharks a good part of the day. I think they won the battle , but we still get the 2 place trophy and ended up with a good dinner and a few great memories. Next trip down we definitely need to get back out for round #2. Thanks for a great review. I do try to keep the customer in mind while we are out. I am glad we were able to adjust the date to work around the windy days to have decent water conditions. We definitely need to get out again, maybe in warmer conditions and go round 2 to see what all we can hook up with. Your group was a pleasure to spend part of the day with. Captain James
