Capt. Jason is a great communicator from the minute we booked the trip until he dropped us back off at the dock. The night before our trip he called us to say the high winds would affect our fishing trip. He gave us 2 options, cancel and get a refund or fish on the bay side were it would be calmer. He assured us our safety is his #1 concern. We opted to head out on the bay side and we are very glad we did. The water was a little choppy but we stayed fairly close to shore. We caught snappers on the first cast. After awhile we movedf a little further off shore to a 2nd spot and caught 2 Lemon Sharks. We couldn’t have had a better time. Capt. Jason was very knowledgeable and shared a plethora of information with us. Our 2 grandchildren couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had. They were amazed they caught not 1 but 2 sharks. I was amazed we caught so much in a short trip. I highly recommend Katz Charters with Capt. Jason for your next fishing trip.

He was great. We went out with my 2 year old daughter and 4 year old son.  I mentioned my son likes to play with the shrimp we use for bait and he made it a point to bring some live shrimp for him to play with.  He got us on the fish right away and we were catching one every couple of minutes.  He worked with them to help reel the fish in.  Highly recommend the 2 hour trip for kids.  The best trip we’ve had for the kids.

Awesome two hour fishing fun with Captain Jason. He took us to several nice spots and we were able to pull in more than 30 fish in a short time; porgies, grouper, yellowtail, snapper (couldn’t keep because they are out of season:( ) and a few stinky puffers. We kept 4 for lunch and the rest were caught and responsibly released. He filleted them for us at the dock while we enjoyed a great memory. Highly recommend!!

My wife and I and another couple went on a half day trip with Jason while on vacation in Islamorada.  Jason was on time meeting us at Robbies dock.  Fishing conditions were not idea as it was very windy and the current was strong.  Jason’s knowledge of how and where to fish in these conditions made all the difference in ensuring we caught our fair share of keepers.  We fished with light tackle provided by Jason which made the fight fun.  Would definitely go out with him again and would recommend him to anyone looking for a fun time fishing in Islamorada.

We had a great time! Jason did everything he promised he would do and then some! My girlfriend caught some fish and so did I but the best part was at the end when he tried to get us on a tarpon or a shark and about two minutes before the trip was over he said give it two more minutes and sure enough within thirty seconds of him saying that the reel was spoiling off with what we can only assume was a shark on the other end, we lost it close to the boat but the experience was A1 all the way around and the only thing I regret is not booking more time.
