Captain Slay was very friendly & professional.  He immediately made us feel comfortable aboard his very nice boat.  He is very knowledgeable and has everything you need to have a great day out on the water. 
Len was determined to get us on fish as he adjusted his techniques to determine where & how the fish would take our baits.
We caught plenty spotted bass and 3 stripers, two over 20lbs!

Our captain was absolute great guy. Fishing was a little bit tough but it was it without effort. I have striper fished many times and Len everything he could do to get fish in the boat. We had several different species of live bait and fished every bit of water column available. We were able to mark fish most of the day but Some days they just call Fishing you’re not catching :-). Regardless, Len What is extremely knowledgeable about the area and made it a great experience. We will be back to fish with him.

I have fished in about every major lake in the South. I have had good guides and bad ones. Today however, I think I had the best guide I have ever hired. Capt. Slay was tremendous in all aspects you hope for in a guide. He was knowledgeable of the lake-his boat and equipment was first class and he was a delight to spend the day with. My friend and I caught 20 bass - in all shapes and sizes. Several 4lbs and many 3”s.Take it from a man that has fished all his life and knows the real thing from a fake. Capt Slay should be your ONLY choice is you are in this area. People who know me- no I do not give out these type recommendations unless I mean it. Book with Capt. Slay you want be disappointed.

Len was great.  He showed up right on time which was appreciated.  There were a couple guys waiting there for their captain who was 1/2 hour late!  Len seems to really know Blue Ridge lake.  He took us up to where the river feeds the lake and we worked our way back to the islands on the main lake.  Ended up with 20+ nice fish.  Kept about 8 good sized bass and ate like kings that night!  Our party all really enjoyed spending the day with Len.  He started fishing these mountain lakes with his grandad and has a true passion for fishing.  Highly recommend Len for your mountain fishing adventure!

It was great! Len put us right on fish and we started catching. We caught 22 bass and a walleye big enough to keep and some smaller we threw back. Boat was well equipped and maintained. We had plenty of live bait. We would certainly use him again.
