This was mine and my husband’s second time fishing in La Paz and it was by far the best experience we could’ve asked for. Captain José was extremely knowledgeable and as advertised, determined for us to catch as many fish as possible. After we got our bait fish and dropped our first line, we had fish hooked within seconds. We caught four fish in the first 30 minutes with the first being a yellowtail. It was very apparent José knew what he was doing, moving spots frequently and quickly once we caught or weren’t getting bites. Our luck slowed down after the first two hours, so José took us out near the island in shallow rocks where the snappers were plentiful. Here we caught two snappers and to much surprise, one rooster fish. Overall, we caught one yellowtail, one trigger fish, three cabrilla, two different snappers, and one rooster fish. Never had we imagined we’d catch so many, let alone such a variety. The panga boat was nice and perfect for the two of us. He had a cooler full of drinks and cut and cleaned all our fish right on the boat at the dock when we returned. We will never question using another charter when fishing in La Paz and highly recommend Captain José and La Shina. The booking and communication through the app was also very easy and prompt. Thank you for such an amazing fishing experience!

The booking and communication were rapid. Setting up a location to meet(picked us up at hotel Posada by boat) effortless. The weather did not alter our plans albeit a 15kt north wind. The boat was set up well for two fishing and handled the mod chop well. Bobby is outstanding!!!!! A True fisherman with determination and focus to catch what you wish. He is attentive to everything on the vessel and rapid.he is also accommodating. Bobby can mate and Captain along with some of the best in our northeast usa.
We trolled, baitnetted, drifted, bottom fished and spin casted… true bonita, skipjack, large snook, mahi, jack crevalle, cubera snapper and corvina. Finally my first Cubera! And ive tried a few times in the last 15 years.

This exceeded my expectation and the local knowledge that the captain brought was unmatched. We were running late and no time to grab some lunch and thankfully the captain had food for us. Put us right on the fish   We had a hook up within minutes of getting to the fishing grounds.

Our captain Carlos was so lovely, he was super chill and friendly. Firstly overall we had a good time, we saw humpback whales, seals, and manta rays really close, as well as all the beautiful scenery

We didn’t get to catch any fish. While there were rods casted out they didn’t have any bait, so that part was set up to fail. So the fishing portion was a bit disappointing as my partner and I had really wanted to go fishing for a couple of years

If you are going to go out I would save yourself the hassle and just organize the bait yourself

Freddy was fantastic! He was very courteous and attentive. He really went above and beyond to put us on the fish. We are avid fishermen and his fishing style was like myself and my sons which made it even better. Relentless! The boat was perfect as well. Highly recommend. Thank you Freddy!
